The team collaborates to detach the battleship and hotel structure from the island prior to the arrival of the second storm wave. Leorio becomes trapped at the ocean floor while wearing a diving suit, and Gon assists him in escaping. Subsequently, Gon is rescued by Hisoka. Although Kurapika is knocked unconscious, a mysterious examinee, who appears to be an ally of Hisoka, takes control of the steering. They successfully separate the vessel just in time, and a blimp arrives to transport them away. This event occurs during the Hunter Exam arc, specifically episode 20 out of 31.
