Ep. 8: Akuto questions Kena's hairpiece while Fujiko seeks a demon beast egg and Junko faces an arranged marriage proposal.

Akuto wonders if the hairpiece Kena wears is the same one he gave her as an orphan. Meanwhile, Fujiko kills a slug beast to obtain a demon beast egg, hoping to control her own creature. Kena continues skipping class, causing Akuto concern, while he remains unaware of Junko’s romantic feelings for him. Kena steals the egg from Fujiko while she sleeps, and it hatches into a two-headed chicken beast. Akuto attempts to attack the creature, but it evades his strikes. Hiroshi quickly destroys the beast to prevent further city damage. Later, Korone advises a depressed Junko to discuss an omiai with Akuto to her parents.
