As Hondomachi recovers from prior events, the team confronts a serial killer known as the Pyrotechnician. This individual employs fireworks as a diversion to shoot innocent bystanders. Investigations reveal the culprit is a war veteran obsessed with mass death. Authorities successfully apprehend the Pyrotechnician and detain him in a cell adjacent to Narihisago. Once secured, Narihisago examines the killer's psychological profile, identifying specific motives and vulnerabilities. He then systematically manipulates the Pyrotechnician, ultimately forcing him to take his own life. The Perforator observes this interaction from his nearby cell, witnessing the conclusion of the confrontation without intervening.
