Ep. 7: Naoto and Hayase navigate jealousy and awkward moments at the summer festival.

Naoto feels slighted when Hayase does not invite him to the summer festival, so he attends alone and encounters Maki and Youshi. They send a photo to Hayase, triggering her jealousy as she rushes to the event where Maki challenges her to reclaim Naoto. During festival games, Hayase teases Naoto about the invitation dynamic before winning him back, prompting Maki and Youshi to depart. Fireworks attract a crowd, leading Naoto to guide Hayase to a secluded viewing area. Hayase mocks his cowardice regarding a kiss, and Naoto retorts that she is equally hesitant, creating tension. They realize the location is a designated make-out spot surrounded by couples and flee. Naoto proposes attending next year’s festival together, which pleases Hayase. Later, at school, Naoto observes a boy in Hayase’s group touching her and summons the courage to ask her to leave with him. She accepts happily, and her friends join them, leaving the confused boys behind. Naoto also meets Sakura, a former bully who mocked his manga drawing in the library.
