Naoto dreams of defeating a demon lord with companions Nekotoro, Maki, and Youshi, only to discover they are the rulers teasing his cowardice. He wakes in a restaurant to find his notebook contains drawings of Hayase as a cat girl, prompting her to tease him. She insists the group visit the beach, where Maki and Youshi wear bikinis, making Hayase jealous. Naoto avoids the sun and struggles with swimming. When Hayase offers to apply sunscreen, he refuses because it is intimate. Irritated, she uses her foot to rub it on him, and the others join in by stepping on him. Despite the rough treatment, Naoto enjoys the day, which pleases Hayase. It is later revealed he had been sketching her smiling at the beach.
