Due to Mr. K, the match between Inazuma Japan and The Empire was rescheduled to an earlier date. Fideo attempted to assist Endou and the others in reaching Yamaneko Stadium via boat, but an accident delayed their arrival. With no captain or coach present, Inazuma Japan was forced to play without Endou or Kidou. The team overexerted themselves to compensate for their absence, causing their coordinated plays to disintegrate. Hiroto recognized this issue and rallied the players, but their efforts were insufficient to breach Teres' defense. The Empire then unexpectedly switched from a defensive formation to an offensive strategy, quickly penetrating Japan's defense to score the first goal.
