Italy’s national team, Orpheus, faces a crisis when their coach is replaced by Mr. K, the man Endou, Kidou, Sakuma, and Fudou are pursuing. Mr. K fires Orpheus and forms Team K, offering a match where the winner becomes Italy’s national team. Eight Orpheus players are injured simultaneously, leaving only seven. Fideo is endangered but saved by Kidou, who reveals Mr. K might be Kageyama and shares his past. Endou suggests all four join Orpheus temporarily to help Fideo, but the others refuse initially. They split up to search for Kageyama. Kidou encounters him and learns of plans to destroy Japan’s national team. Kidou then decides to join Orpheus with the other three to uncover the connection between Mr. K and Kageyama before the match.
