Inu-ou

A musical fantasy film adapts Hideo Furukawa’s *Heike Monogatari: Inu-Ou no Maki*. A boy is born with distinctive physical features, and his parents dress him completely in clothing, including a face mask. He meets a blind boy who plays the biwa and sings. Through the boy’s music, the masked boy discovers he can dance with extraordinary skill. The two form a close bond and begin performing together, gaining popularity for their talent. Their success raises questions about the blind boy’s blindness and the masked boy’s unusual appearance. The film explores the life of a historical Japanese artist who challenged his destiny. It is presented as a rock operetta, featuring dynamic music and dance.
