Ep. 7: Kagome seeks the sacred bow at Mount Azusa to save Kikyo from Naraku's corruption.

Kikyo partially heals Miroku using her life force, reopening her wound, while Naraku reabsorbs Onigumo to gain spiderweb abilities. He captures Kikyo, neutralizing her purification powers and infecting her with evil will. Inuyasha and Kagome become entangled in webs while rescuing her. Kagome witnesses a vision of Inuyasha and Kikyo’s tragic separation fifty years ago. Attempting to heal Kikyo with her longbow, Kagome fails as the string snaps from defilement. Kikyo directs Kagome to the Mausoleum of Mount Azusa for a special bow. Meanwhile, Byakuya poisons Kohaku with snakes but flees when Sesshomaru’s group arrives. At the mausoleum, a spirit guardian resembling Kikyo provides the bow. Kagome faces a test involving a cliff and her own insecurities, ultimately passing to secure the sacred weapon. Naraku, seeing Kagome freed, plans to kill Kikyo personally to stop her purification.
