In contrast, high school student Hiro Shishigami is also transformed into a machine but lacks empathy for anyone except his family and best friend. He utilizes his new abilities to murder without restraint, feeling truly alive only when ending lives. This stands in direct opposition to Inuyashiki’s altruistic approach to his second existence. The narrative explores the clash between these two individuals who share the same robotic condition but possess entirely different moral compasses and motivations for their actions.
