Ep. 3: Lumachina and Rem are abducted by Batutta to create a powerful Death Knell curse.

Lumachina realizes Death Knell is a curse, but she and Rem are drugged by Batutta and Shiliu. Horn alerts Diablo and Shera, who find the girls tied to crosses at an underground altar where an orgy extracts evil essence. Batutta admits he acts only for evil, aiming to corrupt Lumachina to assassinate Fanis. Diablo and Shera arrive, battling Batutta in a cave where Diablo risks collapse by using power. Diablo survives an impalement, severing Batutta’s arm, while Shera petrifies Shiliu and Horn frees the girls. Batutta’s final attack fails, and he seemingly dies, triggering a cave-in. The group escapes, but Lumachina contracts Death Knell. Since she cannot heal herself, Diablo plans to enter a dungeon to retrieve a stored healing item. Meanwhile, the Fallen Varakness attacks Fanis in her bath, warning of an imminent assault on Zircon Tower City and his intent to force her into his harem.
