Ep. 12: Takumi defends Wedgefort from a two-headed dragon and returns to Bolton.
Takumi joins Lion Fang and Crimson Rose, gifting Amaterasu to Sofia while keeping Tsukuyomi. They find Wedgefort under attack by tactical monsters, which Takumi suspects evolved due to excess mana from Sidonia's hero summoning. The Emperor allows the assault to hinder the Samandor Kingdom's aid to Barcula. A two-headed dragon leader appears, injuring Sofia during the battle. Takumi combines his swords to slay the beast and reprimands Sofia for her recklessness. After rebuilding Wedgefort, the group returns to Bolton. Meanwhile, Akira and Yamato slaughter an innocent village in Samandor. Takumi apologizes to Sofia, nearly creating a romantic moment before Akane interrupts and vows to oppose the heroes. Takumi later meets Nolyn, promising to protect his loved ones and delivering requested sweets. Nolyn acknowledges the difficult future ahead but believes his path to becoming the greatest living alchemist and saving the world will be worthwhile.
