A Red Moon magic burst transforms a doll into a talking entity named Angel, who cheers up a depressed Capybara named Coal. Meanwhile, students at the academy prepare for a bazaar, with Garnet selling Maneki-neko statues and Labra promoting her manga. A young girl reports her missing doll, Dorothy, to Ruby and Chiari, prompting them to search for it. Coal, now happy with Angel, attends the bazaar and encounters Marie and Nobara, receiving harsh scolding before finding renewed determination. Unbeknownst to Coal, the doll he cherishes is actually Dorothy, corrupted by the Red Moon's dark magic, while the students remain unaware of the doll's true identity and dangerous nature.
