Leo's human caretaker, Kenichi, travels back to Africa and encounters his former companion, the white lion Leo. Although Leo does not immediately recognize Kenichi, he quickly discerns that Kenichi differs from other humans who seek to destroy the jungle. This realization allows Leo to distinguish Kenichi as a friend rather than an enemy, marking a significant moment of connection between the boy and the lion amidst the wild environment.
