After his journey, Kimba realizes he is happiest with his friends and decides to return to his former jungle. On the way, he encounters poachers hunting mountain gorillas and runs to a nearby den. There, he meets Garu, Giru, Zeo, and their leader, Silverback. The poachers capture the baby gorillas nearby. As Kimba helps defend the gorillas from the poachers, he learns what it means to be a true and just leader, understanding that this role is distinct from being a boss or a king.
