While exploring the Ryujoji hideout, Mikage suffers heavy injuries from an assault by Shiro and Taiko Daiyu. She stumbles out and collapses in front of Sai, who rescues her, brings her home, and treats her wounds. After he embraces her, Jiyu witnesses the event and flees. Mikage instructs Sai to protect Jiyu, noting that the Ryujoji grudge persists. Immediately after she steps outside, a possessed Shiro reappears and attacks her again.
