Takumi assists Misaki’s mother with groceries and accepts an invitation to tea with Suzuna. Misaki returns home, shocked by his presence, and drags him to a park to forbid further visits after he comments on her life. Sakura and Shizuko observe the pair, speculating about a romantic relationship. The following day, the trio attempts to follow Takumi to verify rumors of his wealth, but he leads them on a chase before they abandon the effort. Misaki later finds Takumi caring for an abandoned kitten on an outdoor walkway. He notes her newfound interest and provides his address. The scene concludes with Takumi living alone in a tall apartment building with the kitten.
