Ep. 3: Ako meets Bunta at a Go tournament while Sho shares ghost stories with Reiko
Ako visits Bunta at a Go tournament where he faces Michio Sakai. Michio arrives late after witnessing an accident, but Bunta notes his pale appearance. Michio wins the bracket despite his hand fading, only for Ako to learn he died in a truck crash. Michio claims victory and moves on. Meanwhile, Ako and Reiko visit Sho’s funeral home to study. Sho reads The Midnight Princess, a tale of a possessed princess guarded by Joseph, who hides from her demon form using his father’s rosary until she is revived. Sho also recounts Passenger On A Rainy Night, where a taxi driver picks up a silent girl heading to Yotsuya. After she vanishes, her mother reveals the girl died in a pond crash. The driver returns to find the car flooding and the girl in the back seat, asking to return to the pond.
