A flashback depicts Alice explaining to his classmates that they inhabit a closed space resetting to default values. In the desolate real world, Alice guides Ai, Julie, Scar, and Celica to the sealed Class 3-4 within a school building in Ostia. He warns they cannot leave until the city seal breaks, yet Ai resolves to help, with Julie and Scar following. They enter Ostia during an out-of-sync winter and meet Dee, who now possesses a physical form. The group discovers the world is fourteen years in the past. Ai transfers into Class 3-4, where Dee asks about school activities. Alice confirms the world was created by a wish and reveals the city resets every July 28th. He states he has brought 35,695 people into Ostia to disrupt the loop, while suspecting Dee hinders his efforts. The episode concludes with a flashback of Dee falling from a window.
