Ep. 1: Fubuki joins the Third Torpedo Squadron while the fleet prepares for battle against the abyssals.

Fubuki arrives at the naval base as a newcomer to the Third Torpedo Squadron, where Mutsuki introduces her to the rest of the unit. Following a brief greeting with Akagi of the First Carrier Division during flight drills, Fubuki spends leisure time with her new squad-mates. Concurrently, the Fourth Fleet discovers the enemy abyssal fleet base, prompting the admiral to order an assault as the Fourth Fleet retreats. The First Carrier Task Force, Second Support Fleet, and Third Torpedo Squadron are immediately sortied. To the dismay of her squadron, they discover that Fubuki has never engaged in combat. During the ensuing battle against enemy destroyers, Fubuki is nearly annihilated by one opponent until aircraft from the First Carrier Division destroy the enemy group.
