Ep. 28: Masaru confronts Faceless while Colombine battles an automaton before a rocket launch and explosion.

Faceless invades Masaru’s mind, but Masaru questions him about Aqua Vitae. Masaru reveals he controls his body after drinking Éléonore’s blood, which grants superior healing and resistance to memory downloads. Outside, Colombine fights a Diamantina automaton resembling Goldilocks that creates sharp-toothed teddy bears. Desperate, Masaru dismantles Éléonore to free her from her chains. During the rocket launch, Masaru and Éléonore escape the capsule, leaving Faceless alone in space. Colombine uses her powers for a soft landing before a fiery explosion. Narumi arrives at Mont Saint-Michel via the Long-legged Clown Express and meets Arlequino, who gives him the unconscious Lise. Masaru finds Colombine’s remains after the explosion and embraces her, weeping for her sacrifice.
