The North Patria Union aims to eliminate all Incarnates before the upcoming war. Claude, captain of the Coup de Grace, arrives at Port Gulf. Schaal is present in the town and hears a beautiful singing voice. She follows the sound to a cave where she meets the Incarnate Siren, Beatrice, and her friend Charles. This encounter occurs amidst the Union's aggressive campaign to remove Incarnates from the area before the conflict begins.
