Toshihiko neglects his training to be with Yuka, planning to introduce her to his father. Before this can happen, his father is killed. At the funeral, Kyūtarō Ōba recognizes Yuka’s mother and reveals her true nature to the group, poisoning her drink. Kazuma accuses Yuka of the murder, and the Kifūken decide to execute her despite her denials. Their attempt is interrupted by an attack from an unknown Shokujinki. This distraction allows Toshihiko to protect Yuka, and the couple manages to escape the situation together.
