Ōba reveals his plan to reform the Kifūken with Kazuma’s assistance, appointing Knife Tsutsuji, Shin Hoozuki, and Souichi Umeda as executives. Umeda becomes fixated on Himeko, an image club worker who is secretly the shokujinki Suitsuki Misao. When the Kifūken attempt to kill her, Umeda rescues her despite warnings that she is a spy. Meanwhile, Kazuma pursues Rie romantically, though she remains focused on Toshihiko. Rie later finds journals in Jūzō’s old room, uncovering a secret kept by both Jūzō and Toshihiko from Kazuma. Ōba pressures Kazuma to eat octopus, which may trigger shokujinki traits. Ultimately, Umeda escapes with Himeko, but she devours him and flees.
