Zed arrives in the nation of Templar, where he encounters Roya and her master Zico. He learns that Shard Casters utilize small shards as weapons and that elite casters can command spirits for combat assistance. After exploring independently, Zed incurs legal trouble and is imprisoned alongside Roya, who was detained for aiding him. Zed escapes custody and facilitates Roya’s release. Master Zico successfully persuades the ruling Council to drop all charges. Subsequently, Zed realizes he wields an exceptionally potent fighting spirit, though he currently lacks the ability to control it.
