Ep. 28: Kira meets parents in Orb, finishes Astrays OS, and encounters Athrun.

Kira and his friends are offered the opportunity to reunite with their parents, who have sought refuge in Orb. Although Kira declines this invitation, his parents meet with Uzumi Nara Athha, who suggests a deeper connection exists between Kira and Cagalli. Instead of visiting his family, Kira focuses on completing the operating system for the Orb Union's MBF-M1 Astrays. After his mechanical bird takes flight, Kira unexpectedly comes face to face with Athrun. The two part ways while pretending not to recognize each other, yet they exchange kind words before separating.
