In Universal Century 0071, three years after escaping Side 3's Autonomous Republic of Munzo, Casval and Artesia, orphaned children of Zeon Zum Deikun, reside on Earth. They live quietly under the aliases Édouard and Sayla within the household of Teabolo Mass, accompanied by Jimba Ral. Despite their concealed identities, the siblings face renewed threats from the pursuing Zabi family. Concurrently, Side 3 has been renamed the Autonomous Republic of Zeon. The Zabi family has seized political power and is consolidating control over the region. To counter the Earth Federation Forces, they are actively developing a new weapon system known as the mobile worker, marking a significant escalation in military capabilities within the newly established state.
