Tanjiro and Inosuke meet to share information, but their discussion is interrupted by Tengen, who learns Zenitsu is missing. Tengen orders the pair to leave to avoid unnecessary danger, yet they refuse and prepare for combat. Tanjiro visits the Oiran of his assigned house, who knew he was male, and says goodbye. Meanwhile, Tengen interrogates the house master at knifepoint for details about the demon. Tanjiro returns after detecting a scent, only to encounter Daki, who has absorbed the Oiran into her obi. Daki swiftly defeats Tanjiro using her sashes, breaking the strap on Nezuko’s box. Forced to leave his sister behind, Tanjiro acknowledges her as the most powerful demon he has faced and prepares to fight her alone.
