Tanjiro tends to his injuries while preparing for the upcoming conflict. Tengen engages in a verbal clash with Gyutaro and Daki, reflecting on his past as a Shinobi trained by his father. He sought guidance from Kagaya alongside his wives to avoid his brother's fate. During the fight, Tengen separates the siblings but realizes he has been poisoned by Gyutaro. Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke arrive to support him, earning Tengen's praise. Suma and Makio evacuate the district, and a recovering Hinatsuru joins the battle. The Upper Rank siblings coordinate their attacks, overwhelming the Demon Slayers. Tengen faces Gyutaro while Daki fights Zenitsu and Inosuke. Tanjiro switches to Water Breathing for better defense against Gyutaro. Hinatsuru attacks Gyutaro with wisteria-laced kunai, allowing Tengen to sever his legs and Tanjiro to strike.
