Kyoko directs her disappointment from a failed date with Aoki into a class dodgeball match, while other girls try to repair their bonds with him. Rin and Aoki reconcile after being trapped in a gym storage locker for hours, with Aoki promising to stay by her side. Upon rescue, Reiji, driven by nightmares and guilt over a promise to Aki, violently strikes Aoki before taking Rin home. Shirai advises Aoki to remain neutral as a teacher to avoid worsening the situation. Rin, intimidated by Reiji’s hidden rage beneath his calm exterior, gives up trying to explain the events to him, leaving the conflict unresolved.
