Rin misses school, prompting Aoki to notice she is messaging Kuro and Mimi. Reiji confronts Rin about her desire to attend classes, remaining furious at Aoki for being alone with her while suffering from nightmares. After finding a letter from Aoki, Rin informs Reiji she is stepping outside. He misinterprets her intent as a visit to Aoki and secures her room with a padlock. The situation escalates when Rin threatens Reiji with scissors, causing him to have a severe breakdown.
