While Heueye and Leonard relax at the palace, Rachel is annoyed by their behavior. Ange travels to planet Kirieveru for her mission to retrieve the Guardian of Darkness. She meets Francis, a playboy escort at an old mansion, who accepts her story easily. Ange doubts his seriousness due to his flirtatious nature. At a ball, Francis reveals his desire to improve the city's smog conditions. Ange tries to persuade the mayor but fails, and Francis worsens the situation by resuming his playboy persona. After a confrontation at the mansion, Francis falls from a balcony in decaying rain. Ange catches him, but they both nearly fall. The Sacrea of Darkness saves them, and Francis agrees to accompany Ange on the condition that she stays by his side as much as possible.
