Ep. 3: Heueye adjusts to guardianship while Ange recruits the reluctant Guardian of Light from Branagan.

Heueye struggles to adapt to his new duties as a Guardian. Meanwhile, palace staff identify a candidate for the Guardian of Light on the criminal planet Branagan, surprising Rachel. Ange meets street urchin Matt, who leads her to bar owner Leonard, the actual Guardian of Light. Leonard initially refuses to leave without payment. After thugs attack and Leonard is caught smuggling, Ange flees in frustration. Matt reveals Leonard smuggles to fund the orphanage where he was raised. Although the orphanage eventually closes, the children thank him for his strength. Convinced by their gratitude, Leonard agrees to accompany Ange to fulfill his role as the Guardian of Light.
