Kuro meets Yakumo, the former ward of Reishin, in Tokyo streets alongside her new contractee Riona Kogure. She explains to Keita her arrival on Earth as a tribal princess, detailing how her mother claimed Reishin could change the world's fate, leading to the massacre of her clan. Later, Hiyou confronts Kuro at the airport, forcing her to retreat after their battle. Meanwhile, Excel and Steiner observe Keita and his group at the airport. Excel presents Keita with her Thousand as a gift to assist him in fighting alongside Kuro. This sequence highlights the tragic history behind Kuro's people and sets up future conflicts involving Reishin's influence and the alliances forming around Keita and his companions.
