Ep. 1: First years play street basketball; Seiho loses to Yosen featuring Kagami's former friend Himuro Tatsuya.

First-year students enter a street basketball tournament where Kiyoshi replaces Kawahara. They encounter Seiho, who learns only the top eight Inter-High teams qualify for the Winter Cup. Seiho loses to a squad containing Himuro Tatsuya from Yosen, whom Kagami knows from America. Tatsuya introduced Kagami to the sport, and they were close friends who called each other brothers and wore matching rings. A rivalry caused a misunderstanding, leading Tatsuya to bet his ring on their next match. Meanwhile, Riko informs the second years of the Inter-High results: Rakuzan first, Touou second, and Yosen third. The Generation of Miracles members were benched during the semi-finals and finals. As the game between Tatsuya's team and Seirin begins, Murasakibara Atsushi, another Generation of Miracles member from Yosen High, appears.
