After reaching the Spirit World, the group and Exnome meet Melusine, Gyubid's principal, who validates Gyubid's actions. As they attempt to flee into town, Chiyoko gets separated and transforms into a dried frog to hide, but forgets the reversal spell. Gyubid spots her just before she is eaten. The group is subsequently captured by Leonare and the Spirit Police, revealing that Exnome has betrayed them.
