Following a conversation with Gyubid, she becomes convinced that he is performing a ritual to summon a demon. However, the truth is far less sinister. It is revealed that Matsuoka was simply learning how to make soup in secret. The incident concludes with the misunderstanding cleared up, showing that the teacher's unusual actions were merely related to his culinary studies rather than any occult practices.
