Ciel accepts an invitation to the Trancy estate to kill Alois, who has prepared a chessboard battle for the servants. Sebastian and Claude engage in combat, with Sebastian defeating the servant triplets and a culinary duel occurring during a tea break. The Viscount of Druitt observes the events, becoming indecisive over the desserts served. Meanwhile, Ciel tricks Alois into a duel, gaining the upper hand after Alois fails to decapitate him. Ciel stabs Alois in the side, but Claude intervenes, slapping Ciel and getting blood on his cheek. Claude becomes entranced by the blood, allowing Sebastian to take Ciel away. Claude ignores Alois's pleas for help and does not assist when Alois vomits blood, leading to Alois collapsing and presumably dying.
