Kuro regains consciousness in a forest within a post-apocalyptic setting, possessing no recollection of his arrival. He proceeds to a ruined city named Asuka to locate Kuromitsu. During his search, he encounters Karuta, a member of the Haniwa resistance. The Red Imperial Army subsequently assaults the building serving as a front for the Haniwa headquarters. Upon identifying the soldiers' emblem as identical to those responsible for hunting Kuromitsu, Kuro engages the Red Imperial Army in combat to defend the resistance members.
