Following his defeat by Maomao, Lakan travels to the Verdigris House to select a courtesan for marriage. During his visit, he hears a familiar singing voice and departs quickly. Concurrently, Maomao is invited to Jinshi's residence, where she discusses Lakan's difficulties and her complicated emotions regarding her father. Several nights later, Maomao performs a beautiful dance on the castle wall. This sequence of events highlights the ongoing interactions between the characters as they navigate their respective personal challenges and relationships within the palace setting.
