After his loss to Maomao, Lakan heads to the Verdigris House to choose a courtesan to marry. During his visit, he heard a familiar voice singing and rushes off. Meanwhile, Maomao is invited to Jinshi's house where she talks about Lakan's troubles and her complex feelings towards her father. Several nights later, Maomao dances beautifully on the castle wall.
