Tatsuro Ikeyama, a neurology lecturer, suffers from obsessive-compulsive disorder manifesting as inappropriate urges, such as fantasizing about dumping truck loads or swinging on chandeliers. His father-in-law, Dr. Nomura, heads the university hospital's surgical department. Irabu prescribes bizarre treatments to address Ikeyama's issues, including farting in elevators, changing TV channels during family opera viewing, and removing Dr. Nomura's wig publicly. These compulsions stem from Ikeyama's previously uncontrolled lifestyle, where he enjoyed pranks and baseball before marriage. Following a vitamin shot, Tatsuro transforms into a multi-colored chameleon capable of turning invisible, reflecting the surreal nature of his condition and the prescribed remedies.
