During a chaotic Modern Magecraft Theories lecture, Luvia notices Lord El-Melloi II’s unusual distraction. She asks Gray for the reason, learning that his favorite tearoom has effectively shut down. Unable to focus on work, Lord El-Melloi II visits the establishment to understand the situation. He then descends into the underground aqueducts to investigate further, where he is suddenly attacked by a menacing shadow. Concerned by his lack of return, Gray seeks assistance from Flat and Svin to locate him.
