Primary Lecturer Wills, an expert in Spiritual Evocation, faces a crisis involving his father Sir Trevor’s Marburry Workshop. This facility, which consumes wastelands for power, malfunctioned and caused numerous deaths, including Sir Trevor’s. Lord El-Melloi II reluctantly accepts this case to gain assistance from the Spiritual Evocation department for the Holy Grail War. Upon arriving at the mansion with his entourage, they encounter Hishiri Adashino. She is a member of the Policies department, tasked with investigating and enforcing rules within the Clock Tower. The situation appears to have escalated beyond simple accidents, drawing El-Melloi II into a complex mystery involving necromancy and the workshop's chaotic history.
