Ep. 51: A billionaire sponsors a global race for gold and his daughter's hand in marriage.
Aired on March 24, 1968

Mr. Karat Goldminter launches the Around the World Grand Prix, a multi-vehicle competition starting in Los Angeles and ending in Tokyo. The winner receives a large sum of gold and marriage to his daughter Lovelace. To avoid this union, Lovelace and her guardian Oscar enter the race to teach him a lesson. Speed and Sparky compete fiercely, but Team 4 employs cheating tactics, such as deploying spikes from their hubs. During the water leg, Lovelace crashes her boat and is rescued from sharks by Speed. In the aerial segment, Team 4 uses a blade and cable to knock several aircraft, including Speed's, out of the sky.
