Blaggard flees with the money, but Speed directs the homing robot to destroy it, turning the loot to dust. Inspector Detector rewards Speed $100,000, which he donates to Mr. Clepto for a homeless children’s home.

Spritle and Chim Chim sneak out of Cruncher's airplane, entering the tunnel which serves as Cruncher's headquarters. Speed and Trixie are captured and tied to a trolley carrying three tons of dynamite. Racer X rescues them. At the checkpoint, Inspector Detector finds no gold on the Mammoth Car. Spritle and Chim Chim hide inside it. The Mach 5 and Mammoth Car tie for first place, speeding toward the shipyard. Spritle and Chim Chim incapacitate the Mammoth Car driver. Speed joins them, and they escape as the vehicle crashes into an oil tank, melting into molten gold.
