Messer is removed from the Delta Squadron due to his infection and assigned as an instructor, taking time to thank Kaname before his departure. The Windermerians utilize the power of the ruins to launch an offensive against the planet Al Shahal. Walküre and the Delta Squadron engage in a difficult battle against the Aerial Knights on the planet. Messer returns to aid them during the conflict. During this encounter, Keith challenges Messer to resolve their rivalry definitively. The episode covers the transition of Messer’s role, the strategic use of ruins by the enemy, and the intense confrontation between the squads and the Aerial Knights, culminating in a direct duel between Keith and Messer.
