In the year 2095, Tatsuya Shiba and his sister Miyuki enroll at the First Private Magic University Affiliated High School. Despite Tatsuya scoring first in the theoretical exam, his poor practical exam results place him in Course 2, derogatorily called Weeds, while Miyuki joins Course 1, known as Blooms. Tatsuya meets Course 2 students Erika Chiba, Leo Saijo, and Mizuki Shibata. Tensions rise as Miyuki’s Course 1 classmates object to her associating with Tatsuya and his new friends, leading to a potential confrontation. The situation is interrupted by the arrival of the student council president and the disciplinary committee chair, preventing immediate violence between the two groups.
