To gain admission to the Otome school Garderobe, the inexperienced Arika must defeat Nina in an exhibition match held during Mashiro’s coronation ceremony, with Nina facing expulsion if she loses. Nina initially dominates the fight, but the event is interrupted by an attack from a mysterious knight. In the ensuing chaos, Arika manages to catch a falling airplane and holds it steady long enough for Brigadier General Haruka Armitage, a Meister Otome, to throw the aircraft to safety. This display of strength occurs amidst the tension of the ceremony and the critical stakes of the duel between the two girls.
