As Kyoko and Yusaku prepare to marry, they clean their rooms at Maison Ikkoku. Kyoko discovers Soichiro’s belongings, which Yusaku views with respect, though he later worries about measuring up to her late husband’s memory. At Soichiro’s grave, Yusaku prays for his blessing, moving Kyoko to tears. On their wedding day, friends and family, including Ikuko, Kentaro, and Sakamoto, attend the ceremony. The reception features speeches and reunions, including a pregnant Asuna and Shun. A flash-forward reveals the future: Kozue remains in Nagoya, Shun and Asuna have twins Moe and Mie, and Akemi marries her boss. The series concludes with Yusaku and Kyoko returning to Ikkoku-kan with their newborn daughter, Haruka, as everyone welcomes her home.
